BILL OF RIGHTS

On December 15, 1791, the state of Virginia ratified the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution.  This action made the Bill of Rights law. 

 



On December 15, 1864, the Battle of Nashville began.  It continued the following day & resulted in a decisive Union victory which ended Rebel resistance in the Confederate state of Tennessee.


CSA General John B. Hood had hoped to cut USA General William T. Sherman’s supply lines and eventually be able to threaten Cincinnati and other Northern cities.
